For a small, private party - Not much!

We'll bring everything we need, including our paints, glitter, face gems, balloons and equipment. You just need to provide a shaded, weather-protected area, parking nearby and it would be appreciated if you could supply a small table and 2 adult size chairs (although we can bring them if needed).

UV services require access to a power point.

Absolutely!

We aim to make face painting and balloon twisting a fun and comfortable experience for every child; and our business owner Jessica is an occupational therapist by background. We are happy to take things at the child's pace, offer simple designs, and make adjustments where needed. If your child has specific needs or sensitivities you'd like us to be aware of, please let us know when booking so we can make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Yes. Born to Glitter holds $30 million public liability insurance appropriate for our event services and working with children's check. A Certificate of Currency, WWC and MSDS (product information) can be provided on request. Where additional artists are engaged, we ensure the appropriate insurance and engagement arrangements are in place.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Set-up and Booking Time

• Set-up and pack-down are included and do not form part of the booked entertainment time.

• Additional time may be available on the day, subject to the artist's availability for an additional fee

  Age

• Face painting is available for children aged 3 years and over. Born to Glitter uses professional cosmetic-grade face paints and follows the manufacturer's safety and application guidelines for all products used.

  Face painting is not provided for children under 3 years of age in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

  Product Safety

• We use professional-quality cosmetic face paints, cosmetic-grade glitters and premium balloons.

• Current Working with Children Check and Public Liability Insurance details are available upon request. Product safety information can also be provided upon request.

• Clients should advise the artist of any known allergies, skin sensitivities, open wounds, irritated or inflamed skin, or other relevant conditions before face painting. The artist may decline an application where they consider it unsuitable or unsafe.

• Although professional cosmetic products are used and appropriate hygiene procedures are followed, individual sensitivities or allergic reactions can occur.

Supervision

• Children remain the responsibility of their parent, guardian or supervising adult at all times. The artist provides entertainment only and does not provide child supervision.

• Balloons and balloon pieces can present a choking or other safety hazard, particularly for children under 3 years of age. Parents and carers are responsible for supervising children around balloons and ensuring that broken balloons or balloon pieces are deposed of promptly.

Queue Management

• The artist will endeavour to paint as many guests as possible during the booked time; however, completion of every guest cannot be guaranteed where attendance exceeds agreed upon numbers.

• At busy events, the client or event organiser is responsible for assisting with queue management and closing the queue at the agreed finishing time when requested by the artist.

Venue Requirements

• The client must provide a clean, dry and adequately lit work area. For outdoor events, suitable shelter from rain, excessive heat and direct sunlight must be provided.

• The artist may cease services where the working environment is unsafe or where a person behaves in a threatening, abusive or inappropriate manner. Where services are ceased for these reasons, the artist will generally not be responsible for providing a refund for the unused portion of the booking, subject to any rights the client may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the booking incur no cancellation fee, excluding any non-recoverable costs already incurred.

• Cancellations within 7 days of the booking may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking value, reflecting the increased difficulty of rebooking the date and costs incurred in preparing for the booking.

• Booking deposits are transferable to a new date within 12 months, provided at least 72 hours' notice is given. Transfers are subject to availability. Where a cancellation fee applies, any deposit already paid will be taken into account when calculating the amount payable.

Artist Availability

• If the artist is delayed due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, every reasonable effort will be made to notify the client and provide the remaining booked entertainment time.

• If the artist is unable to attend due to illness or an emergency and a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, all monies paid will be refunded in full.

Photography

• Photographs may occasionally be taken for promotional purposes, including on social media. No identifiable photographs of children will be taken or used publicly without the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians may advise the artist at any time that they do not wish photographs of their child to be taken or removed from social media.

Australian Consumer Law

• Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
